Tennis player loses a point in the dumbest way possible

Dutchman Robin Haase was docked a point at an ATP Challenger event in the Czech Republic earlier this week for one of the most bizarre reasons ever.

Haase was taking on Gonzalo Lama when he became unhappy with his opposition's excessive grunting.

He responded by belting out an over-the-top grunt of his own to try in the middle of a long rally with the Chilean.

But the stunt spectacularly backflipped, the umpire deeming it a hindrance violation, awarding Lama the point.

An enraged Haase protested immediately.

"Every single point he does it and you don't say something, but when I do something..."

Lama went on to win the match 6-3, 6-3, and Haase suffered another defeat in the first round of the French Open a few days later.
