Tennis star's beautiful moment with daughter after first win in 570 days

Janko Tipsarevic’s daughter is five years old.

But because of a nightmare run of injuries, she’s never actually seen her dad win a tennis match at ATP level.

The 34-year-old Serbian enjoyed his first victory in 570 days on Wednesday, beating Bradley Klahn at the Miami Open.

And the person most excited about the drought-breaking win was his daughter.

As Tipsarevic was conducting his on-court interview after the match, she came running up to him shouting “daddy, daddy.”

And you couldn’t get the smile off her face.

“It means a lot because of her,” Tipsarevic said.

“She’s five years old but she never actually saw her father play because in the last five years I was going from surgery room to surgery room to come back.

“It means a lot to finally see her daddy back on court.”

Horror run of injuries

Tipsarevic was at the top of his game in 2012, with a career-high ranking of No.8 and a Davis Cup title to his name after teaming with Novak Djokovic for Serbia.

But a string of foot injuries saw that all come crashing down.

He’s currently ranked 453rd in the world, but hopefully he can get that a bit higher with some more wins.
