Fans have been left concerned about Boris Becker’s disturbing elbow injury after photos of the tennis legend went viral on social media over the weekend.

The German tennis champion has been holidaying with fellow tennis legend Bjorn Borg and their respective partners in Ibiza.

And photos of the tennis greats’ getaway shows Becker is still suffering from a years-long elbow ailment.

Becker can be seen with a huge growth on his left elbow, roughly the size of a tennis ball.

He was also seen with an identical growth on his right elbow while coaching Team Germany at the ATP Cup in Australia in January.

Fans freak out over injury first seen in 2014

He was first seen with the elbow growths while serving as Novak Djokovic’s coach in 2014.

While many believe it’s a simple case of tennis elbow, Dr Mark Porter previously told The Times it’s more likely to be ‘student’s elbow’.

“It’s a good [case of student's elbow],” Dr Porter revealed.

“They are often the size of a golf ball but looking at it, this one is, appropriately, the size of a tennis ball.”

Student’s elbow occurs when pressure forms as a result of leaning on hard surfaces like desks for too long.

Fans have previously expressed concerns over the injury and did so over the weekend.

Becker, 54, was joined by girlfriend Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro as he soaked up some sun on a boat in the Mediterranean.

They were accompanied by Borg, 64, and his wife Patricia Ostfeldt, 50.

Becker and Borg have 17 grand slam titles between them, including Becker’s famous victory at Wimbledon in 1985 as a 17-year-old.

Boris Becker’s ugly row with Nick Kyrgios

Earlier this month Becker engaged in an ugly war-of-words with Aussie star Nick Kyrgios, who was highly critical of players who took part in the ill-fated Adria Tour.

Kyrgios labelled Becker a ‘doughnut’ after the six-time grand slam champ had enough of Kyrgios calling out his fellow professionals.

Becker labelled Kyrgios a “rat” after he took aim at Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev.

“Rats? For holding someone accountable? Strange way to think of it champion, I'm just looking out for people,” Kyrgios tweeted.

“WHEN my family and families all over the world have respectfully done the right thing. And you have a goose waving his arms around, imma say something.

“Boris Becker is a bigger doughnut than I thought. Can hit a volley, obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed though."

Djokovc was the face of the controversial Adria Tour charity event - where multiple players and staff members tested positive for coronavirus.

Zverev was then spotted at a packed bar in Monaco despite ensuring fans he would self-isolate after playing in Djokovic’s event.
