'You kidding me': Tennis teen phenom stuns in 'match of the year'

Teen superstar Carlos Alcaraz has once again showed why he is the most exciting prospect in tennis after coming from behind to defeat Miomir Kecmanović in one of the matches of the year.

Alcaraz has been in sensational form in 2022 having made at least the fourth round of the Australian Open, Indian Wells and Miami Open.

And the 18-year-old Spaniard has now gone one step further to reach the semi-final of the Miami Open after coming from behind to defeat Kecmanović 6-7, 6-3, 7-6.

Alcaraz and Kecmanović put on one of the matches of 2022 with the pair slogging it out at the baseline with some tremendous hitting.

The young Spaniard - who idolises Rafa Nadal - managed to pull off one of the shots of the tournament in the second set after chasing down an overhead smash from Kecmanović.

He then managed to show grit to stay in the rally and lob Kecmanović in a sensational rally.

Alcaraz also found himself down 5-3 in the deciding tiebreak.

However, the Spaniard pulled off four incredible points, including a sensational match point passing shot, to win the match.

Alcaraz hit more than 50 winners in the marathon and showed a similar fight to that of countryman Nadal.

Fans were quick to praise Alcaraz for his blockbuster style of tennis, which is bringing in a new section of fans.

Alcaraz could jump to third in the year-end race to Turin if he wins the final.

The 18-year-old has already made the semi-final of both Indian Wells and the Miami Open.

Next up for him is defending champion Hubert Hurkacz.

Hurkacz just defeated World No.2 Daniil Medvedev to stop the Russian taking over Novak Djokovic as the World No.1.
