What Is the Super Bowl Logo Conspiracy? Here's Why Fans Are Convinced This Theory Accurately Predicts the Championship Teams

Fans don't think that the two colors in the Super Bowl 2025 logo — red and green — are a coincidence

Football fans think the Super Bowl logo offers a telling prediction.

For the past several NFL seasons, followers of the sport have dialed in on a theory that states the Super Bowl art accurately displays the colors of the teams that will go head-to-head in the big game, long before playoffs.

The 2025 Super Bowl logo was revealed in February 2024, and coincidentally, the colors are primarily red and green, which appropriately represent the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles' matchup on Feb. 9 in New Orleans.

But this isn't the first time this has happened. In 2022, the logo included orange for the Cincinnati Bengals and yellow for the Los Angeles Rams. A year later, the design featured green for the Eagles and red for the Chiefs in 2023.

Though the NFL has never commented on the speculation, that hasn't stopped fans from discussing the conspiracy on social media.

So how did the Super Bowl logo conspiracy theory come about? Here's everything to know about the concept that has piqued fans' interest.

According to the theory, the colors in the Super Bowl logo — designed well in advance of the game itself — predicts which teams will play against each other in the championship.

In years past, the NFL Super Bowl logos were seemingly identical — only the Roman numerals changed. This was until the 2022 Super Bowl logo featured a reddish-orange hue similar to the Bengals' team color and a yellow shade like the Rams.

Folks chalked it up to confidence until the 2023 Super Bowl logo, which had hues of red and green, reflecting the colors of the Chiefs and Eagles, respectively.

Although the theory picked up steam, it was thought to be debunked when the 2024 Super Bowl logo was unveiled, and the colors purple and red were used. The Chiefs and San Fransisco 49ers faced off that year, but neither of their team colors was purple.

But now, the 2025 Super Bowl logo has seemingly predicted the game between the Chiefs and Eagles again.

The 2025 Super Bowl logo features red and green. Both colors correspond with the teams playing in the NFL championship game — the Chiefs and Eagles.

Considering this is the third time in four years that the logo has predicted who will appear in the big game, fans are convinced that the Super Bowl logo conspiracy theory might have some truth behind it.
