Steph Curry makes NBA history in game one of Finals
Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry has made NBA history in the first quarter of the NBA Finals.
The superstar sharpshooter became the first player in league history to hit 100 three-pointers in the NBA Finals.
Curry achieved the record with his second made triple of the night, fired up just before the five-minute mark of the first quarter.
The two-time MVP started the game with 98 made three in the finals, ahead of LeBron James (86), teammate Klay Thompson (62) and Cleveland Cavaliers deadeye JR Smith (58).
Curry and the Warriors are chasing their third successive NBA Championship, taking on the Toronto Raptors.
The Raptors are in their first ever NBA Finals, after defeating the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals.
NBA great says he would 'knock the hell' out of Drake after Raptors antics
NBA legend Charles Barkley said he would ‘knock the hell out of Drake’ if he was a Bucks player and saw the rapper supporting his team like he did in Game 4.
Drake has been a constant supporter on the sideline during the Toronto Raptor’s Playoff fixtures and was very animated in their Game 4 victory over the Bucks.
With the Raptors on the verge of taking out the Eastern Conference finals Barkley suggested the Bucks players needed to sort out a way to avoid getting distracted by the rapper.
When asked what he would have done during his playing days, the NBA legend didn’t hold back.
“What I would do - I would say, ‘Kenny, do me a favour,” he said.
“’Throw the ball out of bounds one time and I’ll knock the hell out of Drake.’”
Fellow analyst Shaquille O’Neil agreed.
“Me too, easily,” he said.
Barkley went on to explain that was how players used to deal with rowdy fans.
“And Ernie, that’s way we used to do it,” Barkley said. “If there was a fan that was giving us a hard time, I’d say, ‘Hey, man, lose the ball out of bounds and you got to knock the hell out of him,’” he said.
