'S**t!': Lebron James blows up at historic Ben Simmons All-Star twist
NBA superstar LeBron James has blown up over a hilarious NBA All-Star tug-of-war involving Aussie Ben Simmons.
Lakers star James and Bucks big man Giannis Antetokounmpo were named All-Star captains after securing the most fan votes in this year’s balloting.
James has made no secret of his fondness for Simmons and was fully expected to pick the Australian as one of his reserve players.
However, the three-time NBA champion was beaten to the punch by Giannis during a live broadcast of the pair picking their teams.
“I’m going to go with LeBron’s guy Ben Simmons,” Giannis revealed much to the frustration of a slightly foul-mouthed James.

James and Giannis had the honour of being able to pick their team’s playground-style from a pool of starters voted in by fans, players and media and reserves selected by coaches.
It’s the second year of the format that saw James and Stephen Curry pick their teams behind closed doors last season, to consternation of fans and players alike.
Lakers’ LeBron James: “With my first pick in the second round, I’m going with Anthony Davis… I’m very sure of that.”

There was much confusion when the NBA’s own Twitter site posted both teams on their social account.
Taking his place on the reserves alongside the rest of Team LeBron was none other than Simmons.

However, it soon became apparent that James had got his way and his man, trading Russell Westbrook for the Aussie in an unprecedented move.
Simmons’ own Tweets revealed the hilarious chain of events and confirmed his place in King James’ team.
