St Kilda youngster's scary snake moment

St Kilda young gun Daniel McKenzie has had a scary snake encounter while in training camp in country Victoria.

The club's 1-4 year players were taking part in a bike ride during their pre-season camp, when McKenzie came upon a slithery creature on the bike track.

The 21-year-old did well to maintain his composure as his bike appears to roll over the tail of the snake.

McKenzie, who was pick 22 in the 2014 draft, then calls "snake, snake" back to his teammates to alert them to the danger ahead.

It appears no one was harmed in the encounter, as the club released the footage on Twitter, alongside the caption.

"Snake on a bike track, feat. Daniel McKenzie."
