Sixers-Nets NBA feud goes nuclear as scuffle spills into crowd
The Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets REALLY don’t like each other.
Their first round series of the NBA Playoffs has been chippy at the best of times, but it went to a whole new level in game four.
A push and shove between Jared Dudley and Joel Embiid escalated with the latter’s Philly teammate Jimmy Butler escalating the situation by shoving Dudley.
The altercation happened beneath the basket after Embiid put a hard foul on Brooklyn’s Jarrett Allen in the third quarter.
Ben Simmons was involved as well as the scuffle spilled over into the nearby crowd, with referees and team coaches attempting to break up the fight.
Butler and Dudley were ultimately ejected for their roles in the incident.

Big, hard foul by Joel Embiid on Jarrett Allen at the basket. Jared Dudley got right in Embiid's face and players spilled into the photographers and front row in a big pile. Didn't see any punches, but that's always bad, bad news when it goes into the crowd.

Jared Dudley vs everyone. Impressed to see Jimmy Butler scrap for his team. I’m the biggest Jimmy Butler fan our there, huge loss for 76ers. Weak ejection

Dudley antagonises Philly, but Sixers get last laugh
Ben Simmons exploded in game three after Dudley took a few shots at his game in media interviews before tip-off.
The Nets veteran was not intimidated though, even mimicking the Aussie’s mock celebration after hitting a three.

It was the visitors who got the last laugh though, taking a 3-1 series lead with a 112-108 win capped by a late triple from Mike Scott.
Simmons was influential, if not as absolutely dominant as he was in the previous game, posting a line of 15 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.
Embiid dominated, canning 31 points and hauling in 17 boards, with seven assists to boot.
Caris LeVert and D’Angelo Russell led the scorers for Brooklyn.
