Simone Biles makes history at Olympic Games
Biles' eight Olympic medals moved her past Shannon Miller for the most by an American gymnast. The USA looked liked they were going to surge to gold after Jordan Chiles started the event by stunning viewers with her double-twisting Yurchenko vault. And the USA team never looked back.
Biles had a heavily taped left calf after slightly injuring herself during qualifying. However, it did not impact her at all with gymnastics icon taking to the floor for the final event and winning her fifth Olympic gold medal.

The USA have now won three gold medals for the team event in their last four Olympic Games. "After I finished vault I was relieved - I was like 'woo, there's no flashbacks'," Biles said. "I did feel a lot of relief and as soon as I landed I knew that we were going to do this."
Biles cut a cool figure after landing her vault in the first round, which saw her celebrate with teammates Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey and Hezly Rivera. The team all nailed their routines to hand the USA gold.
