Goalkeeper blunder being investigated

One of the worst goalkeeping 'blunders' of all time is being investigated by the Asian Football Confederation.

The AFC Cup Clash between Tajik club Altyn Astyn and Lebanon's Al Ahed was played in the Turkmen capital of Ashgabat on Tuesday.

During half-time of the match a flood of bets came pouring in for Altyn Astyn that saw their odds drop from 4/1 to 1.1 even before the second half had begun.

Before the match restarted the game was flagged on FIFA's warning system and is no under consideration.

Altyn Astyn went on to win the match 2-0 with one goal coming thanks to an apparent blunder by Al Ahed goalkeeper Hassan Bittar.

A defender passed the ball back to the custodian who, under no pressure whatsoever, lifted his foot over the ball and missed it completely.

He quickly tried to backtrack and dived to the ground but it didn't stop the ball from crossing the line.
