Seven secures Australian football marquee match

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has today announced that the Seven Network has acquired the broadcast rights to the Foxtel A-League All Stars v Italian Serie A giants Juventus at ANZ Stadium in Sydney in August.

The signing builds on Seven's successful coverage of the Foxtel A-League All Stars match against Manchester United and Melbourne Victory's match against Liverpool last July.

FFA CEO David Gallop said: "We are very excited that the Seven Network will once again broadcast top-class football action into millions of Australian homes," said Gallop.

"As the official Broadcast Partner for the Foxtel A-League All Stars v Juventus FC match, Seven puts us in the mainstream of the Australian sports calendar.

"The network's commitment to first-class sports coverage production will add plenty of gloss to the occasion and be welcomed by viewers in Australia and around the world."

Seven's coverage of the A-League All Stars v Juventus will be broadcast across its broadcast television platform and also live streaming online and across mobile devices.

Commenting, Tim Worner, the CEO of the Seven Network, said: "We are once again delighted to be involved with David Gallop and Football Federation Australia in delivering this major event live to Australians everywhere and on every device.

"We are committed to building our presence in major sports events across not just our broadcast television platform but online and other tablet apps as well. We are looking forward to a terrific coverage."
