'Looks unreal': Tennis world erupts over Serena Williams' US Open outfit
Serena Williams’ outfit is once again the talk of the tennis world after she debuted a new look at the US Open.
As is customary, Serena showed off a new outfit for the year’s final grand slam, walking out on centre court in New York in a figure-hugging black body suit.
It looked strikingly similar to the green number she wore at the Australian Open in January.
After unveiling the new look, fans flocked to social media to critique the outfit.
Naturally, some loved it and some hated it.

It didn’t seem to affect her game however, blowing Maria Sharapova off the court 6-1, 6-1 in just 59 minutes.
Previous outfit controversy
Serena showed up at the French Open in 2018 outfitted in a Wakanda-inspired catsuit that would fit in “Black Panther.”
She said she felt like a superhero in it, especially after becoming a mum. It was a fashion statement, but also a choice for her health.
Williams made a return at last year’s competition less than a year after giving birth to her daughter.
She experienced life-threatening complications from blood clots and the suit improved blood circulation during competition.
It drew the ire of French Tennis Federation president Bernard Giudicelli, who said the outfit would no longer be acceptable at the French Open.
"One must respect the game and the place," he said.
The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) announced rule change in December that allowed compression shorts and leggings.
