Saquon Barkley clarified what he told Jalen Hurts right before game-winning TD
With all due respect to Derrick Henry, the Philadelphia Eagles' Saquon Barkley is clearly the NFL's best running back. But as Barkley blazes trails for fellow star runners everywhere, he's still human. Even he needs help to succeed sometimes.
In the aftermath of the Eagles' win over the Los Angeles Rams to advance to the NFC title game, Barkley was asked to explain a key discussion with Jalen Hurts before his game-winning 78-yard touchdown run.
As it turns out, Barkley was not saying, "I'm going to go score," as NBC's Cris Collinsworth had thought. Actually, Barkley was asking Hurts if he was lined up properly in the backfield. Oh. Huh.
See! Even the best athletes on the planet need some light guidance now and then!

Shoutout to Barkley for this honesty. It hits a little differently when he drops a 200-plus-yard rushing effort to lead his team to the precipice of the Super Bowl.
