Rugby player suffers horrific ear injury (WARNING: Graphic content)
Injuries are part and parcel of sport but rugby certainly has its fair share of gruesome ones.
The close contact, physical nature of the game makes it inevitable that serious injuries will occur and noone knows that better than former Ulster hooker Davy McGregor.
Pleasure to play against the @Barbarian_FC this eve at goldie. Didn't finish how I would have liked. #WarWounds pic.twitter.com/We6lR1Isso

McGregor sustained a horrific ear injury while playing for Heriot's Rugby Club against the Barbarians in Edinburgh on Tuesday night.
The former Ulster hooker said the injury happened after his ear was caught by the hip or shorts of an opposition player.
@JOEdotie thanks very much! It was just in a tackle and a guys hip/shorts caught it. I should have tackled lower lol
