British superstar Mo Farah has completed a second Olympic 5000m-10,000m double by winning the shorter event at the Rio Olympics.

Farah stopped the clock at 13 minutes 03.30 in Saturday night's final after running the last lap in a sizzling 52.83 seconds.

Kenyan-born American Paul Chelimo was second and Ethiopian Hagos Gebrhiwet was third.

Australian Brett Robinson was second-last in 13:32.30.

He is the first man in 40 years, after Lasse Viren, to complete the feat at Olympic level.

The result continued Britain's remarkable gold rush at these Games, with the country now having won 27 gold and within striking distance of the record 29 won in London.
