Bolt and De Grasse share incredible moment at finish line

Usain Bolt crossed the line smiling and joking with Canadian rival Andre De Grasse as he cruised into the 200m final.

Bolt ran from lane four and lead for much of the race.

The Canadian Andre De Grasse came hard at Bolt at the end and got within inches of upsetting the champ.

But Bolt wasn't straining and finished the race in a quick 19.78, his fastest ever semi-final time.

The Canadian was just 0.02s behind.

The pair crossed the line smiling to each other.

Just what did Bolt say to De Grasse on the line?

It was an almost comical moment that begged the question, how much has Bolt got left in the tank?

Surely you cannot cross the line in an Olympic semi-final laughing and waving a finger at the man who dared to come near upsetting you.

It was another glorious moment from the Bolt highlight reel.

Having already secured the 100m title the 200 is next on the Bolt agenda before rounding it out with with the 4x100m.

He picked up all three gold medals in the past two Olympics and will cement himself as the greatest track athlete of all time should he complete the trifecta again in Brazil.

There were some big shocks in the other semi-finals with both US sprint star and Rio 100m silver medallist Tyson Gatlin and Jamaica's Yohan Blake failing to make the 200m final.

Blake faded badly in the final 30m and will not contest a final he won silver in at the 2012 London Games.

Gatlin was also surprisingly knocked out in finishing ninth fastest from the semifinals, just 0.03sec outside a qualification place.
