Ricky Stuart pours pain on Broncos with brutal one-liner

Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has rubbed salt in the wounds of the Broncos and their coach Anthony Seibold with a brutal sledge after his team’s victory on the weekend.

Raiders have got off to a brilliant start in 2019 winning five of their first six matches and are looking a real force, especially at home, this year.

The opposite can be said of the Broncos who have just one win from six matches and sit equal bottom of the ladder.

The poor start for the Broncos matches their worst start to a season, which was in 1999.

Stuart understands the pressure Siebold would be feeling after his Raiders team started with four straight losses in the 2018 season.

But he didn’t hold back when asked about his team’s close 26-22 victory over the Broncos on the weekend.

“You reckon they were feeling for me last year?” he said when questioned over the fine margins of the game and whether he sympathised with Brisbane.

This added to the criticism from club legend’s Gordon Tallis and Glen Lazuras after coach Siebold claimed the Broncos were only a “shandy away” from gaining better results.
