Report: Draymond Green wants his money back from suspension

Draymond Green was reportedly cool with his one-game suspension for not being nice to Kevin Durant.

That $120,000 game check? He’d like to have that back.

Green plans to appeal game-check penalty

Green told The Undefeated’s Marc J. Spears that he intends to appeal the game-check fine that came with the team-imposed ban on Tuesday with the aid of his agent and the players association.

He also told Spears that he’s not making the appeal a priority now, but wants to focus on the season.

“I have a year to do it,” Green said.

Green struggled in return to court

If he’s back to focusing on the season, it didn’t show Thursday, when he failed to score in an ugly loss to the Houston Rockets. He posted five rebounds, five assists and five turnovers in the game that saw the Warriors starters fail to hit a 3-pointer for the first time since 2013.

The team was reeling on the court in the aftermath of the internal turmoil.

And while it sounds like Green accepted the suspension as a means to help move on, the six-figure fine caught the mercurial star off guard.

It’s just another layer in the sudden drama that’s popped up in the Warriors’ quest for a third straight championship.

Whether it ends up a speed bump or a road block is yet to be seen.
