Reebok debuts new Question Mid 'Respect My Shine' inspired by Allen Iverson's rookie season

It’s been nearly 25 years since NBA legend Allen Iverson began his professional career. Paying homage to the retired Philadelphia 76ers star, sportswear giant Reebok just dropped the new Question Mid inspired by similar kicks worn by the The Answer during his rookie campaign in 1996.

Features include a full grain leather upper, a soft hexagonal cushioning and an impressive mid built for extra support around the ankles. A high-abrasion-resistant rubber outsole promises flexibility and traction whether worn during scrimmage or off the court. The black and white layers give off a contrasting aesthetic, but the crisp white leather emerges as the star and claims most of the space on the shoe.

Perhaps the most visually striking addition is the “magic trick” of sorts on the Question Mid. Over time, the black toe rubs off to reveal a permanent gold hue, symbolizing the evolution of AI’s importance to the game of basketball and hard work the 2001 league MVP put in to cement his spot in the NBA Hall of Fame. Also available at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Finish Line and Foot Locker, these sneakers pay tribute to one of the greatest to play the game in one of the most unique ways possible.
