Saturday Arvo Racing comes from Flemington with the $500,000 Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning Stakes LIVE on 7TWO.

Lankan Rupee, the world’s best sprinter, will be aiming to edge out the unbeaten stallion Deep Field up the 1000m Flemington straight.

Deep Field is aiming for his first Group 1 win in just his sixth start, one run quicker than the racing legend Black Caviar, and is vying for favouritism with Lankan Rupee.

In Sydney, some of the stars of the spring step out in the 1400m Hobartville Stakes for three-year olds from Rosehill. Victoria Derby winner Preferment, Caulfield Guineas winner Shooting to Win, and Bart and James Cummings Group 1 winner Hallowed Crown lead a crack field.
