Liverpool and Chelsea could not be separated in the first game of the Premier League weekend, despite a lively cameo from Mykhailo Mudryk.

Kai Havertz thought he has scored after just three minutes only to be flagged offside, while the likes of Hakim Ziyech and the £88.5million man also went close.

In Jurgen Klopp's 1,000th game in management, Liverpool seemed short of confidence as they looked to avoid three straight league defeats, only creating half chances with new signing Cody Gakpo missing the best of them in the first half.

Later in the day, West Ham beat Everton in a huge relegation clash, while high-flying Newcastle travel to Crystal Palace in the evening game.

Sunday saw Arsenal beat Manchester United to keep the gap to Manchester City to five points before Tottenham look to beat an impressive Fulham side on Monday evening.
