Manchester City's title defence took another hit as Manchester United stunned the Etihad Stadium with a 2-1 win in the derby.

Marcus Rashford, from the penalty spot, and Anthony Martial scored in the first half to stun the Etihad Stadium and leave the champions 14 points off leaders Liverpool.

In the lunchtime kick-off, Everton – with Duncan Ferguson in temporary charge following the sacking of Marco Silva – defeated Chelsea 3-1 at Goodison Park.

League leaders Liverpool again won without getting out of second gear, handing Bournemouth a fifth consecutive defeat, as Tottenham ran riot over Burnley with Heung-min Son scoring one of the goals of the season.

On Sunday, we have a midlands derby between Aston Villa and Leicester – one of three 2pm kick-offs – with Southampton taking the long trip to Newcastle while Sheffield United are at Norwich.

We have Monday night football, also, as Freddie Ljungberg – still looking for his first win as interim Arsenal manager after two games – faces another of his former clubs, West Ham, in the 8pm kick-off at the London Stadium.
