Mahomes has always spoken highly of his teammates.

During an October 2022 post-game interview between the Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders, Travis Kelce was interrupted by the Texas native who popped in just to say: "I love this dude right here, baby!"

Mahomes then cried as he wrapped his arms around Kelce, 35, for a hug, adding, "This my dawg!"

In October, Mahomes confessed that he felt terrible after accidentally injuring his teammate, Rashee Rice, during a game against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium.

"When I saw the replay, I felt like s--- that I hit Rashee,” Mahomes told reporters at the time. “I mean, I wasn't worried about myself. I was worried about, hopefully, his injury and hopefully it wasn't as bad as it looked because I was the one that hit him."

The Chiefs will take on the Houston Texans on Saturday, Dec. 21, before playing the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day. The team has already clinched the AFC West title and a spot in the playoffs.
