Paris 2024: How much money are the Olympic medals worth?

Today money expert Effie Zahos revealed “there isn’t as much gold in a gold medal as you might hope for”, and suggested that the medals have more sentimental value than financial.

Here's how much money the Olympic medals are really worth today.

Money expert Effie Zaho revealed there isn't as much gold in a gold medal as you might hope for and suggested that the medals have more sentimental value than financial.

Effie estimates the gold medal could be worth about $1400.

The silver medal, about $700.10 dollars the bronze medal.

However, the medals at the Paris Games are set to include a piece of the Eiffel Tower, making them unique to other Olympic medals.

Effie added that while the medals themselves may not be worth much money, the Australian Olympic Committee is giving the athletes $20,000 for gold, $15,000 for silver and $10,000 for bronze.
