If Paralympians have an Olympic tattoo, they’re disqualified. Here’s why.

If Paralympians show off an Olympic rings tattoo during competition, they're immediately disqualified.
Here's why.
According to nine's wide World of Sports at the 2016 i PC swimming European Championships, Joseph Craig was disqualified from the men's S 8.
100 metre final despite his heat winning performance, and it was all because of his tattoo.
An I PC spokesperson said body advertising is not allowed in any way whatsoever and that includes the Olympic rings the athlete did not wear.
A cover was therefore disqualified.
All teams are informed of the advertising policy at a technical meeting prior to competition, so it wasn't as if they had not been reminded about the rules.

Tattoos are generally allowed to be on display unless they advertise a product and as the Olympic logo is another organisation, the I PC considers the tattoo as an advertisement.
