Glenn Maxwell hurt, Pakistan crumble in final T20
Glenn Maxwell has limped off with a hamstring problem as Australia bowled out Pakistan for 117 in the third and final game of their Twenty20 series in Hobart.
The allrounder left the field at the end of the 13th over on Monday night after pulling up grabbing the back of his left knee while running to field the ball.
FoxCricket reported Maxwell suffered a suspected low-grade hamstring injury but could bat in Australia's chase if needed.
Australia are hunting their first T20 series whitewash against Pakistan following victories in Brisbane and Sydney.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Pakistan collapsed from 1-61 in the seventh over to be all out with 11 balls to spare.
Adam Zampa (2-11) and Aaron Hardie (3-21) ripped the heart of the Pakistan batting order, with the latter claiming career-best white ball figures.
Zampa took the key scalp of Babar Azam (41 from 28) in the 13th over after the Pakistan captain watched wickets fall around him.
Azam had shared a 44-run partnership with Haseebullah Khan (24 from 19) to get the tourists off to a promising start.
Tailender Shaheen Shah Afridi hit a 12-ball 16 late on but he was one of only four players to reach double figures.
Pakistan rested skipper and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan and gave left-arm quick Jahandad Khan his international debut at the expense of fellow paceman Naseem Shah.
After picking up the best T20I figures by an Australian quick at the SCG on Saturday, Spencer Johnson took 2-24 and ended the Pakistan innings by bowling Sufiyan Muqeem.
There were lengthy queues for tickets outside the ground after the match had started following an issue with the Ticketek website.
