Olympic gold medallist's unconventional search for love

Former Olympic swimmer Inge de Bruijn is searching for love, and she's looking in the most unexpected of ways.

The 43-year-old woman has joined the Dutch TV show Adam Seeks Eve, where contestants live naked on an island together.

"He must be sweet, charming, caring, funny and a bit mysterious," de Bruijn said.

It's understandable that this unconventional route might be required, given her years spent concentrating on swimming.

But while de Bruijn clearly isn't shy about showing off her body, she also hasn't hid a second reason behind her appearance: a potential new career.

Having enjoyed travelling, de Bruijn wants to remain on television as a lifestyle presenter.

De Bruijn competed at the top level for nearly 20 years, with her crowning achievement coming at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

She won three gold medals - 50m and 100m freestyle as well as 100m butterfly - before going back-to-back with another gold in the 50m free at Athens 2004.
