O.J. Simpson says he cast vote for 2017 Heisman Trophy

Despite an abundance of legal troubles that culminated in years behind bars, O.J. Simpson still has his Heisman vote.

The former USC running back was never stripped of his Heisman Trophy from 1968 after all his run-ins with the law, which means he — like all previous Heisman winners — still can cast a vote in upcoming Heisman Trophy races.

Simpson told TMZ Sports that he did use his vote this year, although he didn't let slip who he voted for. Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield, Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson, and Stanford running back Bryce Love are the three finalists for the 2017 award, which will be presented Saturday.

Simpson was released on parole in October after serving nine years in prison for attempted armed robbery and kidnapping. His newfound freedom allowed him to watch the majority of the college football season and see the Heisman candidates in action.

Interestingly, one of USC's other Heisman winners, Reggie Bush, forfeited his Heisman win after an NCAA investigation revealed Bush received gifts and other luxuries during his time at USC.
