NRL stars helping the homeless

From dispensing punishment to nourishment, NRL stars Kane Evans and Kevin Naiqama have opened up on their weekly charity work.

Sydney Roosters forward Evans and Wests Tigers flyer Naiqama have been on a mission for over a year, serving food and handing out clothes to the homeless.

"We normally go down there on a Tuesday night with a bunch of mates and we just serve food or give out clothes for the homeless people," Evans said.

"We've been doing that since the start of last season.

The devout Christians are aiming to stop homelessness and believe they are on the right path.

"Just having a chat to them for two minutes is massive for them," Naiqama said.

"They like talking football and I'm happy to talk football with them, they give me tips on what I'm doing wrong."

The duo are now thinking of doing charity work overseas during the off-season.
