'100 per cent': Sonny Bill Williams agrees to Paul Gallen fight
Sonny Bill Williams is set to take on long-time antagonist Paul Gallen in the boxing ring, after the Cronulla Sharks legend confronted the former NRL star on television.
Gallen has long sought a bout against Williams, and asked his rival about it directly when their pair appeared together on Channel Nine program 100% Footy.

“I want to hear it from you... It’s been spoken about year after year now, am I going to fight Sonny Bill? And I’ve said yes year after year,” Gallen said.
“I want to hear it from you.
“Are you going to fight me? Is it going to happen one day?
“You’re the only one it needs to come from now, it’s a yes or a no.”
Williams reply of ‘100 per cent’ put to bed years of back and forth about a potential showdown between the two former NRL players.
Gallen joked that ideally the fight would happen before he turns 40, but added that he still has ‘enough to get the job done.’
Sonny Bill Williams up for Paul Gallen boxing match
For his part, it seemed as though Williams was hoping to get the fight locked in sooner than may have been expected.
Already set for an NRL return with the Sydney Roosters, Williams said he was hopeful a fight could be organised in the next six months.
““I’m definitely not scared to get in the ring with you, I’m definitely not running,” he said to Gallen.
“I’m actually excited to get in the ring with you, it’s going to happen, and hopefully within the next six months.
“If it all happens towards the end of the year, I think I’ve already agreed with Barry (Hall) to hopefully get in the ring with him because my understanding was that you’re fighting the legend (Mark Hunt).
“So I think for you, instead of worrying about me you better be worried about that brother.”
