Andrew Johns 'quits' radio gig after Origin blow-up with brother Matthew
The iconic Aussie brothers have been in a blow-up for nearly two months.
NRL icon Andrew Johns has reportedly left his role from SEN Radio after a blow-up with his brother Matthew over a State of Origin argument. Matthew admitted the brothers have hardly been on speaking terms for nearly two months after Andrew became irate his brother had stood up for Maroons coach Billy Slater ahead of Game I.
"Put your Maroon jersey on, you should have some at home. Just because you played four games and lost four doesn’t mean you need to sh-t bag NSW," Joey told his older sibling in mid-May. "I'm sick of you (pumping up) Queensland. Keep blowing hot air up their ar*es."

The blow-up escalated further than Matthew expected with his brother not making an appearance on his show for two consecutive weeks. Matthew admitted that his brother was 'completely off me'.
And according to reporter James Hooper, Andrew Johns has quit the Friday SEN Radio program for the remainder of the year. "The feud has now escalated beyond this to the point where Joey has told SEN he won’t be back this year," Hooper wrote on Fox Sports.
The pair have been involved in blow-ups before and Matty admitted it wasn't unusual for them to go quiet, before reuniting. "The longest went for two years. That's the way the cookie crumbles. The show must go on," he said on his show.
Johns is an advisor to coach Brad Fittler and played 23 games in the Sky Blues jersey. He is widely considered the best Blues player of all time and arguably the greatest rugby league player ever.
Andrew Johns lets rip at the Blues after Game I loss
Andrew Johns is a passionate Blues supporter and was left fuming after Game I when New South Wales showed a lack of direction in attack. The Eighth Immortal let rip at the 'terrible' attack and pinpointed a lack of effort from the Blues, which cost them Game I.
"The big one for me is when Lindsay Collins takes that ball and passes inside to Cameron Munster, he runs past five New South Wales players who didn't turn and chase," Johns said on Channel Nine. "The game was on the line. Collins runs past New South Wales defenders and Munster is there.
"You can't do with the game on the line. You cannot stop your legs moving. You have to keep moving just in case."
