Dolphins coach Wayne Bennett admits he would be interested in signing the Trbojevic brothers Tom and Jake, amid speculation the messy situation at Manly could see the superstar pair seek a release from the embattled NRL club.

Tom Trbojevic called an emergency meeting with his manager on Friday to discuss the sacking of coach Des Hasler, following reports that he and brother Jake were "concerned" about what was happening at the club.

NOT HAPPY: Manly make call on Trbojevic brothers after Hasler saga

It came after Tom and Jake's manager on Wednesday said the pair were worried about staying at Manly due to the instability at the club, amid suggestions it was "imploding" from within.

"They have expressed concern to me about the instability at the club. It has got them worried," Paul Sutton told Nine News.

"They have not spoken to me about leaving the club but they are concerned about staying there."

Bennett - who has been on the lookout for a marquee player to spearhead the NRL's newest club - confirmed his side would be keen to sign players of the calibre of the Trbojevic brothers.

“We’re interested in any player who is coming off contract or is available to negotiate,” Bennett told the Sydney Morning Herald.

“We all know the standing of those two players in the game. It’s something we could possibly have a look at.”

Following Tom Trbojevic's emergency meeting with his manager over Zoom on Friday, it's emerged that the superstar fullback has no plans to seek a release from Manly.

Sea Eagles CEO Tony Mestrov also moved to stress that the Trbojevic brothers would not be going anywhere, insisting the pair will see out the final four years of their big-money contracts.

If there was to be any hint of an agitation to exit, the pair would likely command big money from rival clubs as two of the game's premier talents.

News also emerged on Wednesday that the Trbojevic brothers had requested a clause be inserted into their contracts tying them to Hasler when they re-signed with the club until 2026.

It is believed the brothers wanted to be able to walk away from their six-year contracts if Hasler was ever to depart, however the request was knocked back.

However, Mestrov has moved quickly to dispel any suggestion either of the brothers will exit Brookvale, after speaking with them on Thursday after Hasler was sacked.

"It has been a tough period for everyone at the club over the past few days," Mestrov told AAP.

"But Tom and Jake are the heartbeat of this club, as well as being the future of the club.

"They are both signed to the club until 2026 and going nowhere."

Manly's management are heavily reliant on the pair staying.

Both are considered Sea Eagles through-and-through after growing up on the northern beaches, and Tom in particular is a fan favourite.

The superstar fullback won the 2021 Dally M Medal as he took Manly back into the top four, before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in May of this year.

On numbers alone, Manly go from a 70 per cent winning record with him on the park in the past four years under Hasler compared to 34 per cent without their fullback.

Trbojevic brothers 'unhappy' about Manly situation

The Trbojevic brothers, who share the same management company as Hasler, are reportedly “disappointed in the club’s behaviour" towards their former coach.

“They feel that the club that they love is imploding in front of their eyes,” Sutton said on Thursday.

“They are really down in the dumps with the place. If it continues, it is wearing and once the place becomes unsavoury, what do you do? If it becomes untenable.

“Obviously you’d assume Tommy would be a Sea Eagle for life but all the internal rumblings and conflict have taken a toll on him mentally.

“He has expressed to me his disappointment in the club’s behaviour. He has expressed he is unhappy – both Jake and Tom have.

“Jake has called me from England expressing how unhappy he is with the club. It’s the same as with Tom, this has taken a toll on him."

Former South Sydney and Brisbane Broncos mentor Anthony Seibold is expected to be announced as Manly's next head coach to replace Hasler, with the Sea Eagles squad due to return for pre-season training in November.
