'Are you not entertained': Nick Kyrgios pulls out the tricks in odd socks

Nick Kyrgios has put together an entertaining performance in his first match since Wimbledon, moving into the second round in Washington.

Pulling out all the tricks, the locals were enamoured of Kyrgios as tweeners and ripping forehands stole the show.

At one point late in the first set the 24-year-old hit tweeners on consecutive points, winning both.

Kyrgios kept one particular fan in the crowd busy all night – his ‘trick shot counter’ sign needed constant updating.

The Aussie, who required some attention on a knee issue late in the first set, made an honest admission after the match.

“I'm just happy to get through,” he said.

“I haven't been playing a lot of tennis, been having some mental struggles. Happy with the win.”
