Aussie NFL star bagged over 'pathetic' tackle attempt

Australia's Brad Wing has gone viral for all the wrong reasons after an embarrassing moment in the Giants' loss to the Lions.

In all fairness, Wing is New York's punter and isn't employed to tackle, but his effort on Tuesday has been slammed as 'pathetic'.

Wing punted the ball to Detriot returner Jamal Agnew in the fourth quarter of the Lions' 24-10 win, with Agnew taking it back for a brilliant 88-yard touchdown.

Agnew carved through the Colts before coming to the last line of defence - the punter Wing.

The Aussie got competely faked out as Agnew pulled off a massive left-foot step to leave Wing clutching at thin air, on his knees in humiliation.

The touchdown definitely wasn't Wing's fault, but that didn't stop social media making fun of his rather lame attempt.

The touchdown was the final nail in the final nail in the coffin for the Giants, who slumped to 0-2 with the loss.
