Week 10 of the 2021 NFL season was a strange one.

The Miami Dolphins, Washington Football Team and Carolina Panthers all notched unexpected victories over more fancied opponents, while even the Detroit Lions managed not to lose for the first time this season (they tied 16-16 with the Pittsburgh Steelers instead).

SUPERMAN RETURNS: Cam Newton scores TD with first touch back

BAD LOOK: Bridgewater slammed for ‘business decision’

Equally strange were some of the bizarre moments that took place around the league.

Here’s what you might’ve missed:

Scissors make unexpected cameo

Play had to be stopped early in the second quarter during Sunday night’s clash between the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs when Raiders defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson inexplicably found a pair of scissors on the field.

Thankfully Jefferson spotted the sharp implement before a player managed to injure themselves on them.

Pete Carroll’s unique challenge flag

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll wanted to challenge a call during the Seahawks’ 17-0 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

The only problem - Carroll couldn’t find his red challenge flag.

Instead, the 70-year-old reached into his pocket and pulled out an electric hand-warmer, before throwing it at the feet of the referee to challenge the play.

Big man touchdown disallowed

Miami Dolphins guard Robert Hunt did something every NFL offensive lineman wants to do, scoring a touchdown in absolutely spectacular fashion.

Unfortunately for Hunt, the touchdown was disallowed due to him being an ineligible receiver.

Patrick Mahomes dips into bag of tricks

It’s no secret Patrick’s Mahomes possesses a rare skill set that’s the envy of just about every quarterback in the NFL.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was at it again, throwing an impressive completion with his non-preferred left-hand in Chiefs 41-14 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Larry Rountree shows off his moves

Los Angeles Chargers running back Larry Rountree III put forward a contender for touchdown celebration of the year with an impressive dance routine after getting into the end zone against the Minnesota Vikings.

It was Rountree’s first NFL touchdown.

No wonder he was so excited.

Punter forces fumble with hit stick

It’s not often an NFL punter is called upon to make a tackle and it’s even rarer for them to do so successfully.

Yet, Las Vegas Raiders punter AJ Cole managed to do just that, forcing a fumble with this hit on Chiefs returner Mike Hughes.

Punter throws strike on fake

Not to be outdone by Cole, Chiefs punter Tommy Townsend threw a pinpoint pass to Byron Pringle on a successful fake punt.

The play came at a crucial juncture in the match early in the fourth quarter, helping the Chiefs to put the game out of reach.
