Meares eyeing record-breaking Games

FIVE COMMONWEALTH GAMES RECORDS IN ANNA MEARES' SIGHTS:

1. Meares will equal Kathy Watt's record of becoming the only female cyclists to appear at four Games.

2. Meares has six medals - should she medal in both of her events in Glasgow she will surpass Watt as Australia's most successful Commonwealth Games cyclist.

3. Eight medals would also equal Kiwi Gary Anderson's record for the most Commonwealth Games medals for a track cyclist.

4. Meares can become the first athlete to win a medal in track cycling at four Commonwealth Games.

5. Meares can become the first woman to win an individual cycling event three times, having won the women's 500m time trial in 2006 and 2010.
