Kenyan Ndiku win men's world indoor 3000m

Sopot (Poland) (AFP) - Kenyan Caleb Mwangangi Ndiku won men's 3000m gold at the World Indoor Athletics Championships at Sopot on Sunday.

Ndiku clocked 7min 54.94sec, holding off three-time former champion Bernard Lagat of the United States, who took silver in 7:55.22.

Ethiopian Dejen Gebremeskel claimed bronze (7:55.39).
