What is it with antelopes and bike riders?

Not for the first time, video has emerged of a nasty collision between an antelope and a mountain bike rider in South Africa.

Austrian rider Robert Mennen was brought to ground in a flash by a small antelope during the first stage of South Africa's Cape Epic race.

Mennen was travelling at around 60km/h when he struck the animal and unsurprisingly both the bike and the rider was a little worse for wear.
