'I own you': Superstar feud simmers after wild NBA brawl

In case you missed it, the Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves have been the talk of the NBA world after a wild brawl broke out between superstars Joel Embiid and Karl-Anthony Towns.

Embiid’s 76ers teammate Ben Simmons was also dragged into the skirmish, which resulted in Embiid and Towns being ejected from the game, and possible suspensions for several players involved.

Chippy play between Embiid and Towns escalated into much more in the blink of an eye, with Simmons putting Towns in a chokehold at one point, before tensions eventually eased.

The trash talk since hasn’t been limited to the court though.

Embiid, a well-known agitator on and off the court, quickly declared ‘I ain’t no b***h’ after the game, reiterating the provocative quote in an Instagram post and tweet several hours later.

Towns on the other hand, was having absolutely none of it.

The Timberwolves big man took to social media for a dig of his own, taking aim at Embiid’s ‘b***h’ comment and posting several images of the pair’s scuffle.

Rarely do you get the last word when it comes to Joel Embiid, who followed up with another foul-mouthed post - indicating the rivalry won’t blow over any time soon.

“That tough guy act ain’t cutting it .... you know what you are.. you know what you’ve always been - a p***y,” Embiid wrote.

“Been kicking your a** and pretty please make the playoffs before you talk. It’s a known thing that I OWN YOU.”

While NBA fans went off their nut on Twitter, Embiid eventually decided to call it a night (and a victory) with one final tweet.

As for a potential rematch? Any suspensions handed out to either Embiid, Simmons or Towns will likely long since have elapsed by the time the 76ers hit the road to face the Wolves in Minnesota on March 25.
