Happy 2022, fantasy basketball fans. We hope the worst of the COVID protocol absences are behind us as we head toward the second half of the season, but there are still plenty of options on the waiver wire to add to our fantasy squads.

Jaxson Hayes - Jonas Valančiūnas is out, and Hayes has played more than Willy Hernangómez in the last two games.

It may not be permanent, and Willy started Sunday, but Hayes looks like a better add for the week ahead.

Hamidou Diallo - Diallo played 50 minutes Sunday and was a commanding presence.

Yes, a bunch of Pistons’ players need to return and will likely be back next game, but Jerami Grant and Kelly Olynyk won’t be among them, so Diallo will be able to maintain value.

Patrick Beverley - I’m going to have him on this list every week until his roster percentage jumps over 50%.

Marvin Bagley III, Damian Jones - The Kings have no Richaun Holmes, so Jones is the favourite to start and Bagley should also get an increased look as the starter next to Jones.

Both guys can be added in yahoo fantasy leagues.

Devin Vassell - We finally saw why I like Vassell on Sunday with Dejounte Murray, Lonnie Walker, and Doug McDermott all out.

Walker and McDermott will miss more time, so Vassell is a good add for the week ahead.

Terance Mann - Mann is starting and without Luke Kennard out for the week and Marcus Morris dealing with some personal issues, Mann has a chance at good numbers for this week while Paul George also rehabs his injured elbow.

Facu Campazzo - The Nuggets have no Monte Morris, so Facu is the news starting point guard.

He can put up pretty good numbers when given the opportunity, and I like him to be a top 100 guy for the next week or so.

Brandon Clarke - The Grizzlies are the only team to play five games this week, so grab Clarke, but also look at what other Memphis players are around.

Steven Adams, Kyle Anderson and Tyus Jones are also worthy but be aware that Dillon Brooks, De’Anthony Melton, and John Konchar are all in COVID protocols and could come back mid-week
