NBA 2022: Best bets for all of Thursday's basketball action
Thanks to the Pistons choking away a lead against the Pelicans, yesterday only ended up 2-3.
Let’s get back into it today.
Washington Wizards @ Philadelphia 76ers
Philly has seemed to struggle when I pick them with big spreads and cover in games they are underdogs, which gives me some pause.
BRUTAL: Ben Simmons cops $27 million blow amid 76ers standoff
'DREAM COME TRUE': Lauren Jackson's shock return at age 40
But with Joel Embiid back against a Bradley Beal-less Wizards team, how do they not blow them out?
The spread is 10.5 points and they should be able to cover.
Without Beal, Kyle Kuzma should get the number one role on offence. His points line is high, set at 19.5, but I do think given the volume he will see that he can go over. On TAB, over 19.5 points is $1.87.
Best bet: Handicap betting - 76ers -10.5
Best bet: Player points - Kuzma over 19.5
Denver Nuggets @ Utah Jazz
No Donovan Mitchell or Rudy Gobert and Bojan Bogdanović with a busted finger, yet Utah is still favoured?
I know Denver was blown out yesterday, but they seem like they are in a great position to get the win and if there is a team who isn’t as bothered by Utah’s homecourt advantage, it should be Denver.
I think they win straight up, but if Nikola Jokić is ruled out, I would stay away.
Best bet: Nuggets to win for $2.07
Oklahoma City Thunder @ Dallas Mavericks
Tre Mann will likely start in place of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and his rebound number is quite low.
It’s not like he is a great rebounder, but the line is set at 2.5 and the over is priced at $2.15 on TAB.
We all love Luka Dončić and it seems like his assist number is priced too low.
It is set at 9.5 and I think double digits should be the expectation. It’s $1.75 for over 9.5 on TAB.
Best bet: Player rebounds - Mann over 2.5
Best bet: Player assists - Dončić over 9.5
