NBA 2021: Best bets for all the biggest games on Monday

Derrick Rose will thrive for New York while teammate Kemba Walker is sidelined.

I ended last week on the right note, so now we have a full five days this week to get some winners.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ New York Knicks

Kemba Walker is being rested for the Knicks, so that means there are some shots to go around. I don’t know if Derrick Rose will start, but I feel good about him getting more minutes and attempts, so his points prop is set at 14.5 on Sportsbet for $1.87. I like the over

Rose Over 14.5 Points

Utah Jazz @ Orlando Magic

It’s always good to look at when starters are out and Utah is predictably resting Mike Conley. That means his shots need to get distributed and one prop which looks good is Bojan Bogdanović’s points.

Bogdanović sits at 16.5 points, but for $2.00 on TAB. I think he can push to 20 here, so that’s a nice easy over.

Bogdanović Over 16.5 Points

Indiana Pacers @ Sacramento Kings

The Kings have won their last two games by a combined 43 points. That is a lot and not a prediction for what happens here, but at home and being favoured by only 1.5 points, makes me interested in taking them.

Kings -1.5

Houston Rockets @ Golden State Warriors

The Rockets are not good and the Warriors are very good. #Analysis. But, seeing spreads of -12 when offence has been so down to begin the season always makes me want to take notice.

Houston have kept some games close, losing by only one last time out against Denver and I just don’t feel comfortable taking any team that is a 12 point favourite at this stage.

On Sportsbet, the Rockets +12 is also paying $1.93.

Rockets +12

Charlotte Hornets @ LA Clippers

The Hornets have the NBA’s second-worst defence and have struggled over the length of their road trip to keep games under control.

The Clippers, fuelled by some nice wins against the Wolves are looking better and now welcome back Serge Ibaka.

I think the Clippers can handle the Hornets here comfortably and I was surprised to see the line set at only 6.5 ($1.93 at Sportsbet). I like the line, but I also like the total of 224.5 (Over $1.94 at Sportsbet)
