Moraga brutalises opponent with vicious combo

A vicious combo of kicks and punches has seen John Moraga claim a stunning upset KO victory at UFC 216 in Las Vegas.

The American went into the Flyweight contest as a massive underdog against Russian fighter Magomed Bibulatov but needed less than one round to stamp his authority.

Moraga started with a right high kick which grazed Bibulatov, before following up with a right hand and a picture-perfect left hook that sent the Russian crashing to the canvas with 1:38 gone in the opening round.

Referee Jason Herzog stepped in to promptly put an end to the bout as Moraga went in for the kill with a final flurry of punches.

The American was overcome with emotion after the win as he dropped to his knees and welled up with tears inside the Octagon.

Moraga has now won back-to-fights and put himself right back into the title conversation at 125 pounds.
