Jones facing big ban after second positive test

UFC fighter Jon Jones is almost certain to earn a lengthy suspension after his B sample came back positive for a banned substance.

Multiple reports emerged on Wednesday that Jones, who failed a drug test at UFC 214, had been informed the anabolic steroid Turinabol was found in the second test.

Jones defeated Daniel Cormier at the pay-per-view event to win light heavyweight title.

The fight is expected to be declared a no contest but it remains to be seen if Cormier will be handed the belt.

Jones faces a maximum four-year ban for his second offence, having already served one drugs ban in his career.

He served a negligence suspension in 2016 after testing positive for anti-estrogenic agents.

He was previously stripped of a UFC title in 2015 following a hit-and-run arrest in New Mexico.
