UFC star Ronda Rousey has long been rumoured to be making a switch to professional wrestling, and a new report suggests it's really happening.
Rousey's own website is teasing a 'major announcement' coming soon, and many believe she'll announce her retirement from the UFC.
According to the Fightful Podcast, Rousey has begun training for a shot at the WWE and would love to fight at Wrestlemania.
Once the biggest names in UFC, Rousey's career has come to a crashing halt with two heavy defeats in her last two bouts.
She had her undefeated run snapped by Holly Holm in Melbourne in 2015, before Amanda Nunes handed her another beating last year.
UFC boss Dana White has on multiple occassions said he doesn't believe Rousey will ever return to the Octagon, with many tipping a switch to pro wrestling.
And she is no stranger to WWE, having appeared alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson at Wrestlemania 31, taking down Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.
"The WWE and Ronda have had a great relationship for quite a while and they have been trying to come around to do something together for a long time," Hollywood Life quoted a source close to the story.
"She has appeared at Wrestlemania and mixed it up in the recent past but now she is starting to train to have a run in the WWE and work to a match at next years Wrestlemania."
Rousey has remained tight-lipped in her time away from the sport, leaving it to those close to her to speculate on what she might focus on in her future.
Now, after recently announcing her engagement to fellow UFC fighter Travis Browne her judo coach has revealed where he believes her future lies.
"Personally I don't think (a return is) in the cards. I don't think that's what she wants in this time of her life," Justin Flores told Submission Radio.
"I mean, I'm not discounting anything. Maybe later. But I just don't see that being something she wants to jump into and focus full force to be the best.
"Because if she's gonna do anything, from what I know about her, she's gonna do it to be the best.
"And not that I don't think that she can be the best, it's just, I just don't know if her body and her mind at this stage in her life, if that's what's right for her."
