MMA fighter knocked unconscious before winning bout
Amy Montenegro took out a win at Invicta FC 21 in Kansas City but the victory came in controversial circumstances.
Fighting Celine Haga, Montenegro was locked in a rear-naked choke towards the end of the third round.
With referee Greg Franklin watching closely, it looked as though Haga had secured a submission win.
But after the bell went the unconscious Montenegro was instead lifted off Haga and Franklin sent the decision to the judges.
Montenegro came away with a win by unanimous decision, leaving viewers bewildered as Haga had a clear victory ripped away from her.
UFC referee John McCarthy confirmed to MMAFighting.com that if the rules were correctly applied, Haga should have been awarded a submission victory.
