Mark Hunt launches multi-million dollar lawsuit against UFC

Australian-based fighter Mark Hunt is suing the UFC for a staggering amount after his bout with Brock Lesnar in July.

Lesnar beat Hunt on his return to the Octagon at UFC 200, but the decision was later overturned after Lesnar failed two drug tests.

Despite Hunt's protestations, Lesnar kept his full fight purse, and received a fine of just $250,000.

42-year-old Hunt demanded the UFC at least share the winning fight purse between the two fighters, and ensure the same would happen in the future.

Hunt has made no attempts to disguise the fact that he's furious with the company, campaigning for harsher penalties for cheaters and requesting a 'cheaters clause' in his contract.

But after getting nowhere for months, the 'Super Samoan' has now filed to sue for Lesnar's entire $2.5 million purse plus the pay-per-view figure earnt from the event.

"Cheaters deserve nothing!", Hunt told markhunt.tv.

"Before the fight, I was assuming he was cheating," Hunt said in the aftermath of his Lesnar fight.

"Look at him. There's no way that guy makes 265 pounds.

"These guys are cheating and they should be in court for it. [They should] lose all of their money if they're cheating, because if I die in there, who's going to look after my family?

"Dirty, scummy, cheating scum. That's how that monkey won his world title. He didn't do it by doing it clean. He did it by cheating."

Hunt says he was expecting the UFC to reach out to him but never even received a phone call.

It was Hunt's third opponent in a row to be embroiled in a drug scandal.
