Marsh under fire after another freak dismissal
Mitch Marsh has copped a barrage of criticism after he was again dismissed in bizarre fashion in the third ODI against New Zealand.
Marsh was promoted to No.5 in the batting order at the MCG after his blazing 76 not out from just 40 balls in the second match of the series.
SCORECARD: Australia v New Zealand, third ODI
But with his side struggling at 3-73 the explosive all-rounder couldn't cash in, chopping a Colin de Grandhomme delivery back onto his stumps for a duck.
Marsh looked to be extremely unlucky, inside edging the ball onto his front leg before it travelled through his legs and onto the stumps.
It was his second freak dismissal of the series after he was run out at the non-striker's end at the SCG:
While very unlucky, commentator and former Test opener Mark Taylor was highly critical of Marsh's technique and footwork.
"You're always going to be at danger of chopping on if your bat comes down at an angle like that," Taylor said.
And in regards to Marsh's footwork: "You might as well just stand still with footwork like that."

'Mitch Marsh' was immediately trending on Twitter after he was dismissed, with social media users taking him to task.
Majority of the criticism revolved around the fact that he could thrive when his side was already in a commanding position - like they were in Canberra - but struggled when behind the eight ball.
@hclaire29 all the hard work was done by top order last match. Mitch Marsh can't deliver when needed

It's ok for Mitch Marsh to come in at 3/248 in 40th over & smash them around. He's a flat track bully. But under pressure he fails. #ausvnz
