Viewers took to social media during the main card of the Tyson-Jones Jr fight to joke they had accidentally purchased a music concert after a string of performers took over the show in the lead up to the main event.

But it was Wiz Khalifa’s performance that had fans wondering “what was happening”, while others were happy to go with the flow and soak it all up.

Lil Wayne pulls out of Tyson-Jones Jr line-up

Controversy struck the event before it happened as another rapper, Lil Wayne, pulled out of his performance.

But in a statement, the main event announced Snoop Dogg would step in.

“We are excited to announce that world-renowned rapper, Snoop Dogg will be joining tonight’s musical line-up in celebration of Tyson and Jones Jr.’s historic return to the ring,” the statement read.

One fan noted the only positive to come out of the ‘circus’ was UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya’s performance as commentator.
